CSO Assembly Day - Nov. 6, 2014. The DILG in coordination with the Hon. Mayor Atty. Francisco Jun Mamba conducted the CSO assembly purpose of which is to identify who will represent and become a member of the Local Poverty Reduction Action Team based from GPP(grassroots participatory process)approach. Tuao is a recipient of the GPP projects (Formerly Bottom Up Budgeting) due to its being a Seal of Good Housekeeping (SGH) passer as determined by the abovementioned agency. Congratulations TUAO!

Task Force Lingkod Bayan (TFLB) thru Mayor Atty. Francisco Jun Mamba assisted the people in the "Araw ng Undas" at Tuao Public Cemetery.
Thank you Mayor for your initiative in directing the different barangays in cleaning our cemeteries (both East and West)

September 1, 2014 - The Local Government Unit of Tuao headed by Mayor Atty. Francisco Mamba, Jr. joins in the Celebration of the 114th Year Anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service. Today's celebration was sponsored by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office Cagayan Branch headed by the Branch Manager Mr. Heherson Pambid.

Tree Planting Activity during the celebration of the Feast of San Roque spearheaded by the beloved Mayor Atty. Francisco Jun Mamba, Secretary Manuel Mamba and Dir. Atty Mabel Mabel P. Villarica-Mamba.

Participated as well by the different stakeholders from the Local Government Unit of Tuao, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Department of Education, PCSO-PLLO, Knights of Columbus, Business Group (East and West), Senior Citizens Group, BCTJK Group, Association of Barangay Captains, Municipal Officials of Tuao, and visitors and friends from other municipalities.

Receiving His Excellency Benigno S. Aquino III during the Inauguration of the Ninoy Aquino Bridge is our Municipal Mayor Atty. Francisco Jun Mamba at Abbut, Bagumbayan, Tuao,Cagayan.

President Benigno Simeon Aquino III inaugurated the newly materialized NINOY AQUINO BRIDGE linking Tuao West and Tuao East and its neighboring towns in Region I and II... It is 360 meters long and costs P 599.40 million...It will permanently connect Cagayan to the provinces of Kalinga and Apayao and CAR (Cordillera Administrative Region...Also with the President are Mar Roxas II- DILG Secretary, Rogelio Singson- Public Works and Highways Secretary, Manuel Mamba - Presidential Legislative Liaison Office Head, Mayor Francisco Jun Mamba, and MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino.

The LGU-Tuao through the LDRRMC Chairman Atty. Francisco Jun Mamba in cooperation with the Bureau of Fire Protection Regional Office 02 and BFP-Tuao Station conducted the training on Water Rescue for the LDRRMC members and the Task Force LIngkod Bayan Rescue and Emergency Response Team. Also invited in the training were the different rescue teams from the barangays located near the Chico River Banks, the PNP, BJMP and other volunteers.... This undertaking is designed to develop the capabilities of our rescue teams in order for LDRRMC TUAO with the LDRRMO to be more responsive especially during disasters/calamities...THANKS ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND COOPERATION!

BRIEF HISTORY

The recorded history of Tuao began in 1604 when founded by the Spanish Civil Government. The new Spanish Pueblo was ecclediastically accepted on May 13, 1612, thus opening it for Christianization.
